Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Support design review on manufacturability, raw material, etc
- Perform sourcing especially in lower cost region and in line with the Company commodity strategy to meet project targets.
- Coordinate new parts qualification with R&D/Engineering and liaise with factory purchasing to ensure material availability for production.
- Sourcing and qualifying new lower cost region.
- Develop and implement procurement strategy for commodities including technology trend, supplier analysis, pricing and development including bench-marking.
- Conduct sourcing and value analysis-value engineering workshops to build up cost-reduction project funnel to meet annual purchase price variance targets.
- Champion continuous development of suppliers to meet the Company and business requirements.

Education:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of Procurement/Engineering/Supply Chain experience, preferably in pulp and paper industry. Working experience in a manufacturing operations environment in commodity, program or purchasing management.
- Solid cross-functional / cross-cultural communication experience.
Skills/Technical Requirements:
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- good oral and written communication skills;
- Strong organizational and math computational skills.
- Ability to maintain impartial and ethical relationship with suppliers in line with Company policy.
- Must have a self-starter and capable of independently driving initiatives.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Good communication /presentation skills and written skill in English and Chinese
